On 30 January, Airlines International Representation in Europe participated in a session focused on the implementation of the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation, organized by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) at its headquarters in Madrid.
AIRE’s representative, Nadine Braun, engaged in a productive exchange of insights regarding the application of this regulation and its potential implications for the aviation sector. This session was an important opportunity to discuss the practical challenges associated with the regulation, as well as its role in advancing the decarbonization efforts within the aviation industry.
As part of AIRE’s ongoing commitment to supporting the transition to a more sustainable aviation future, we recognize the challenges the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation presents. However, we view it as a crucial step towards reducing CO2 emissions and accelerating the industry’s shift towards more sustainable practices. By working together, we can overcome these challenges and contribute to a greener future for air transport.
