Airlines International Representation in Europe (AIRE) took part in the AIREg Sustainable Aviation Fuels Conference 2025, held in Berlin, actively contributing to the ongoing industry dialogue on the future of sustainable aviation.
Organized by AIREg – Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V., the conference brings together key stakeholders from across the aviation ecosystem—including airlines, airports, research institutions, and raw material providers—to accelerate the development and deployment of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).
Over the course of the two-day event, AIRE’s Sustainability Expert, Nadine Braun Amaral, participated in a series of sessions addressing some of the most pressing topics in the field. Discussions focused on recent political commitments to climate-neutral aviation at both European and global levels, as well as the current landscape of SAF production, supply chains, and related technologies. The program also examined feedstock availability and innovation, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Engagements like AIREg 2025 are essential to fostering collaboration, aligning industry efforts, and deepening our collective understanding of the transition toward greener aviation. The insights gained during the conference reinforce AIRE’s ongoing commitment to supporting a more sustainable and resilient future for the aviation sector.
