Sunclass Airlines has joined AIRE (Airlines International Representation in Europe) as a new
Airline Member.

Sunclass, with a background of more than 50 years knowledge in the aviation industry, is now
fully owned by the NLTG Group. Formerly a Thomas Cook Group airline, Sunclass is flying the
majority of charter passengers for the Scandinavian tour operators Ving, Spies and Tj reborg
to destinations in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, etc. but also to long-haul destinations as
Thailand and Caribbean. Currently it’s operating eight A321 and two A330.

Rafał Milczarski, President of AIRE and CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, said: ” We are delighted
to welcome Sunclass as our newest airline member. In these difficult times, it is especially
important that airlines work together to overcome the devastating effects of the Covid-19
pandemic on the aviation industry. We must act to bring passengers back to travel. Together
we want to influence regulators in Europe and worldwide to open up the skies as vaccination
progresses and the situation improves. Sunclass Airlines adds further strength and weight to
our organization.”

Torben Østergaard, Managing Director of Sunclass, said: “The decision of becoming a
member of AIRE was easy. The burden and complexity of regulations etc. is ever increasing
and especially small and medium sized airlines must work together to have their voice heard
and impact the regulators. The aeropolitical issues of specific short-term interest for Sunclass
are EU261, slot regulations and traffic rights. We look forward to benefit from the insights of
AIRE and its members and will hopefully in return make a positive contribution to the
organization”

Currently, AIRE is focusing on the aviation industry’s return from the Covid-19 pandemic. AIRE
members emphasize the need to adjust the slot regulation and passenger compensation rules,
support the creation of Single European Sky and the reduction of aviation emissions through
initiatives taken by the entire aviation industry.

Founded in 1971, AIRE is a member-driven organisation based in Brussels. The association, till 2017 known as International Air
Carrier Association (IACA), focuses on achieving the most cost-effective environment for AIRE members. AIRE airlines operate
various business models to cater for different demands in the travel market, including low-cost, seat-only and tour operator traffic.
Their common feature is efficiency in terms of fleet utilisation and load factor.
